  On the night of the 27th at 11.00 pm my 11 month old daughter was taken to Bairnsdale hospital with a high temp that had not abated for a whole 2 days. I was seen by an older nurse with short salt and pepper hair with glasses. She took one look at her and said "She has a virus". I asked about dehydration. The nurse replied "Does she look dehydrated to you?" I was sent home. Back the next day when bubs temp was up to 40.5. I was seen by two amazing younger nurses who remembered us from the night before. I was quickly seen to by an amazing doctor called Dr E. Hassin who checked her ears and throat and suggested a urine test. Suspected UTI. Turns out that my little girl did have a UTI. I suggest always getting a second opinion. Now the infection has progressed to my daughters kidneys. If it wasn't for Hassin and the two lovely nurses this would have been undetected for even longer. I would like to know this nurses name to write a formal complaint about her. My daughter is now very sick as the antibiobotics are taking a long time to work. If it had have been detected on the first visit my daughter would be a lot better by now. Britt Robertson. Mother of Ellie
